Scooter was adopted by the Barlow family in January 2003 after a young couple had adopted him from Dewey animal shelter on sunday and by thursday were looking to re-home him. he was frightened, fear aggressive and the first thing he did after entering our house was pee on the china hutch. He showed many signs of a very rough previous life. Scars from fly bites in his ears, broken teeth, great fearfulness and no idea of how to play. He would just cower in his kennel. With lots of love and positive reinforcement, he has come a long way. He can bring down the jumps to 6 inches in U-fli and 8 inches in Nafa. Flyball is not his favorite thing, but he will step in if the team needs him. He is happy to come to practice and just train green dogs. His favorite part of flyball is just hanging out in the crating area going from lap to lap for petting and belly rubs and the drive to the tournaments were he gets to cuddle with his girls and watch stuff out the car window.
